Making Recovery Visible - Film Course begins March 2022

The Making Recovery Visible project offers creative courses that aim to support those negatively affected by substance use & addictive behaviour, and who have embarked on a recovery journey to embrace hope and change.

Each course will work with participants to create meaningful and powerful media that will tackle the associated stigma that surrounds addiction by Making Recovery Visible.

HMP Grampian Family Centre and Help Hub event at shmu on 20/10

Our Adult Services team are proud to be supporting the HMP Grampian Family Centre and Help Hub.

Come along to shmu on Wednesday 20th October between 5.30pm-7.30pm to have a chat and hear about the support you can receive if you have a loved one in custody.

Double Platinum for HMP Grampian Creative Media Unit

Huge congratulations to our HMP Grampian participants in this year's Koestler Awards. Shmu submitted 21 entries from the Creative Media Unit and received 10 awards - including 2 Platinum Awards!

The Koestler Awards is an annual event which celebrates the arts in criminal justice - with prisoners from all over the UK submitting creative work.
